The answer is simple.
The PGA trained professional is the only qualified teacher of golf to give you the help you need.
There are all kinds of people out there claiming to be qualified to teach golf. But none of them, and I repeat, NONE of them can give you the insight into your swing and the game of golf that a PGA professional can give you.
Beware of the frauds and pretenders and wannabees. They are only out there for one reason: to get your money. From the Professional Golf Teachers Association of America, to the United States Golf Teachers Federation, and anyplace in between, you cannot get valid instruction in any phase of the game of golf.
These people are like Internet ministers. Send me $100 and I'll ordain you a minsiter. They have your money, and you have nothing. Go to any one who claims to be a teacher or instructor of golf who is not a PGA member, and you will get the same. Snake oil salesmen are a dime a dozen. But a qualified instructor of the golf swing is a rare commodity.
It takes a lifetime to develop the instincts and knowledge to be able to honestly help someone play golf. You cannot learn this with home study or a two day course at the Golf School of The Ozarks. PGA professionals are committed giving you a lifetime of service and knowledge. They live and breath the game, and donate more of their time and resources than anyone can ever imagine to promote the game of golf, and to help people learn to play the best they can.
So be on the lookout for all these sleazy characters who only want to get their hands in your pockets. If you need some help with your game, go to someone who knows the game, from the inside out.
