VIDEO, GOLF SWING STRENGTH AND STRETCHING EXERCISE USING HEAVY BAR, WWW.GOLFTEACHER.COM STRENGTH/FLEXIBILITY DRILL USING HEAVY BARhttp://WWW.GOLFTEACHER.COMshapeimage_1_link_0

This drill explains itself. The kind of things I like to do for my own game and in my teaching. I had knee surgery tis past December, and this is the first day I have been able to get out and work on my strength and balance. My knee is feeling pretty good. Just as a little background, when I decided to do a video today, I found that the chisel end of the bar was buried about a foot in frozen ground. In my effort to pull the bar out of the ground, I got too ambitious and as the bar broke loose from the turf as I pulled toward me, I was clobbered right on top of the head. As fate would have it, the bar hit the button on top of my hat and drove the button into my skull, drawing a little blood and leaving a dent. It seems these days we pay dearly for our experience. It is a good drill and really forces you to stretch your muscles and stay balanced. I learned today that I have a lot of work to do, stretching and timing and getting used to swinging a golf club again.
